Enticed by a Thug Love 3 Page 14
When Jashawn explained to me who Dior was, my mouth hit the floor. Their love story was something for the books, that’s for sure. But all that they went through was just confirmation that they belonged together. Through all the odds, they made it out. It was proof that love could conquer all. I couldn’t wait for Jashawn Junior to put in an appearance. He was the bridge between the Alfred and Ramsey family.
Two families that should have been at war but because of those two, they weren’t.
Things with Meshach were going well. Out of all the boys, he and I spent the most time talking and healing together. There was a time when we both felt like the outcasts of the family, the damaged ones, but if you looked at us now, you wouldn’t be able to tell.
The bond he had with his brothers strengthened after everything came out, and they were all doing well. He spent a lot of time around them; something he never used to do. And they talked about everything.
He was now dating Gia—who I absolutely loved for him. She kept him grounded and on his toes. She didn’t play about a lot of things and would gladly cut somebody’s ass over Guns.
We nicknamed them Guns and Roses. They were sweet together, and everybody was rooting for them. Except hating ass Trojan! But deep down inside, we all knew he liked it!
And lastly, there was Pharaoh who I had come to see as my son now. He had been through so much, and my heart went out to him. What Percy made him do was unforgivable, and it would have broken even the strongest man, but A’Moya found him, and I knew that was God. She looked past what he had done and loved him through it all. Even when he tried to push her away, she held on, and I was glad that she did. Pharaoh was no longer the same.
Jackson told me how he kept to himself a lot and barely spoke, but now, if he wasn’t at our house, he was with one of his brothers. And mannn, could that boy talk! All we ever saw was his teeth from how much he laughed and smiled. Looking at him was like looking at my best friend. It was both bitter and sweet to see him because I knew that she would have loved to see the man he grew up to be. But I knew that through him, her spirit was still alive.
Like I said, life was good, but God was better.
“Amanda. You still with me, baby?” Jackson asked, pulling me from my thoughts. He was giving me a questioning look, and I giggled.
“Sorry, I was just thinking about life and how much it had changed in two years.”
“It changed for the better because now we are back together,” he said, and I smiled up at him.
“I love you, Amanda. I always did and always will.”
“And I love you too, Jackson. I never stopped.”
We kissed, and I hissed when he eased inside of me.
“Jacksonnnn, we got to get up.” I half whined and groaned in pleasure.
“We will, baby. Dammmmnnn, shitttt, Mands.”
Our lips locked together as he rocked inside of me. Even at fifty, my husband still had it going on, and he could still knock me out with what he was working with.
He leaned up, put my legs over his shoulders, and pushed deep into me.
“Ohhhhh, Jacksonnnn.”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
We both froze when we heard someone banging on our door.
“Is that why my breakfast isn’t ready?!” Alvaro yelled through the door, and I swear I was so embarrassed that I wanted to fall through the bed. “I knew I should have gone to Ma’s crib.”
“Get the hell away from my door with your cockblocking ass, Alvaro! You used to do that shit all the time when you were younger!” Jackson yelled, and I fell out laughing.
“Do you remember that shit, Amanda?” he asked me and I nodded.
When Alvaro was three, all he did was walk into our room just as we started making love. He was always interrupting us. Even if Jackson set him in front of the TV with snacks, he would still find an excuse to interrupt. It got so bad that we only made love when he was with Ma.
“Well, it didn’t work because Jashawn and Meshach are here.” He laughed.
“Nigga, fuck you!” Jashawn yelled, and I gasped.
“Are all you niggas at my fucking door?” Jackson barked, and then we heard laughter from all of them.
“Yup,” Alvaro added.
I looked up at Jackson and slapped the hell out of him.
“I told you we needed to get up! Move!” I pushed him off of me, stomped into the bathroom, and slammed the door.
“Damn, Pops! Couldn’t you put clothes on before opening the door?” I heard Meshach complain, and I fell out laughing.
Some things never change!
Half an hour later, I walked into my kitchen.
“Walk of shame, walk of shame!” the boys sang until I turned to look at them, making them immediately stop.
My eyes turned to slits as I watched them until satisfied that they were going to keep their mouths closed, I turned to head to the refrigerator.
“Shirley!” I was shocked to see my friend sitting at my kitchen island sipping coffee.
She and I met six years ago in Delaware. She had been on drugs for a year before I got hooked on them. She was crazy as hell, but she was a good, loyal friend. When I heard about my sister’s death, she decided to come with me and stay.
“How long have you been here?”
She looked over at me and laughed. “Long enough to know that your husband is not playing around! I didn’t know if I should call the cops, the porn industry, or record that shit for myself.”
My whole face fell.
The boys groaned and pushed their plates away.
“That’s what the fuck y’all get for using the key to come into my fucking house unannounced! I gave y’all niggas keys for a fucking emergency!” Jackson walked in the kitchen snapping, and I chuckled.
“It was an emergency, Pops. We were hungry!” Meshach said, and they laughed.
“Well, next time, I’m walking around balls swinging, and let’s see if your asses use the key then.”
Jackson looked at me, and I couldn’t help but blush. Even after all these years of being separated, Jackson still had the same effect on me. He said that we were made for each other and that even in death, he still loved me—and I guess that he was right.
All that Faye did and tried to do was a thing of the past, and nothing but a bright future was left.
“Sooo, my baby daddies, are y’all like your daddy?” Shirley asked, smiling widely at Alvaro and Pharaoh, who didn’t look impressed with her at all.
She loved fucking with those two because, unlike Meshach and Jashawn, they fed into it, and it just made her go even harder.
“Shirley!”
Man, I loved my family!

A few days later
“Kanada, do you need any help?” Ma asked, sticking her head inside, and I turned to look at her.
“Thanks, Ma. Could you just grab the mac and cheese please?” I nodded toward it resting on the counter top, and she picked it up.
I turned to see Momma Amanda with the ice and asked them to follow me.
“Whoa!” I called out when KeKe went running past with TJ. “No running in the house!” I called out after them.
“Okay!” they both called out and stopped.
I walked out into the backyard to see the whole family out there together. Today we were having our usual monthly family dinner, and I looked forward to them every single month.
There was once a time when it was just me and TJ, but now my family was so big that we couldn’t all fit inside my house.
“Okay, everyone, dinner is served!” I called out, and everyone started to cheer.
“Ma, could you pray for us please?” I asked as I took my seat next to Alvaro who held my chair out for me.
When I sat down, he rubbed my stomach and kissed my lips.
After our engagement, we decided to wait and plan a big wedding, which was happening in a few weeks. I wanted to wait until we were officially married to have a baby, but Alvaro had other plans
.
After making him wait for almost two years, one night he said that he wasn’t waiting any longer and bam—I was pregnant a month later. I was only three months, so we didn’t know what we were having just yet.
He wanted a boy, and I wanted a girl!
Even the kids were debating on what sex the baby was. TJ said if the baby was a boy, he would be his. And KeKe said if it was a girl, she was hers. I guess Alvaro and I had nothing to do with the conception!
Ma stood to her feet, and said, “Everyone hold hands,” and we did.
“Father God, I would like to thank you for my beautiful family. Some you brought back to us, others you allowed to join, and some who are on the way to us, but we are all one. I pray, Father, that you will continue to shine upon this family and bless us in our going out and coming in. Protect us, Father, and help us continue to love each other with your undying love. I thank you, and I praise your heavenly name. In Jesus mighty name I pray…”
“Amen!” we all said together.
Food started to immediately be passed around as chatter began to flow.
“Still waiting, sis?” I called out to Dior, who looked like she was about to pop but still had a few weeks to go.
“I’m so tired, Kan, I swear. I’m not having any more,” she said, and Jashawn snapped his head around to look at her.
“Nah, baby. We’re are having more—a lot more,” he said, and her mouth dropped.
“Um, no we’re not,” Dior fired back, but Jashawn just nodded with a smirk.
“How many more?” Kevin called out, making us all laugh. “I mean, damn nigga, two of you isn’t good enough?”
“Nah, I want a whole football team.”
Kevin looked like he was about to have a heart attack as Mavis just laughed at him. She thought Jashawn and Dior together was the sweetest thing ever. Even though she was originally team James, she came to love Jashawn.
Speaking of James, he messaged Dior out of the blue calling her stupid for picking a thug over him and telling her how she missed out on her chance. But after Jashawn paid him a visit, he texted back to apologize.
Last we heard, he skipped town… with another man!
I guess Jashawn called it from the beginning.
A’Moya was sitting beside me, so I tapped her shoulder. She looked at me with a smile.
“How is the baby doing?” I asked, looking down at her stomach.
“They are good,” she said back, and my mouth dropped.
I looked at Pharaoh, and he had a huge smile on his face.
“They?” I asked him, and he nodded.
“Twins.”
The whole table went silent until everyone jumped up and cheered for them.
I hugged A’Moya and gave her kisses to both of her cheeks. I was so happy for them.
All that I went through with Alvaro had nothing on what A’Moya and Pharaoh had faced. It was good to see that he had made a complete turnaround. He even made a grave for his momma, which A’Moya told me he visited every single week.
Everything was going well for them, and I couldn’t have been happier.
“Damn, I wanted twins,” Alvaro leaned over and whispered to me when he finished congratulating Pharaoh.
My face frowned, and he laughed.
“Hell no. We already have two. I’m good with one baby.”
“For now,” he responded, and I shook my head at him.
“No! This will be our only baby!”
Alvaro turned to look at me, and my whole body started to heat up.
“We will see about that. Once I put this dick on you, your ass starts singing a different tune.” He winked and pecked my lips before going back to making up a plate for both of us.
Since I did most of the cooking, he said that he would do me and the children’s plates.
I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head because I knew he was gonna get me caught up again. Alvaro just had that effect on me, and I couldn’t fight it.
Turning my eyes to Gia, I smiled seeing her sitting next to Meshach. They were only early in their relationship, but already I could see how happy they were together.
It was so good to see Meshach finally happy with someone after all that happened with Faye. He made a mistake, but he deserved to find love, and it looked like he had found that in Gia. She was older, but I guess that was his thing!
The two sat there talking and laughing with each other like they were the only people in the world, and it was cute to watch. Meshach looked at Gia like she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and she looked at him like he was everything.
Gia laughed at something he had whispered in her ear, and then he pecked her lips.
“Nigga, I’m at the table! Do you have to kiss my daughter?!” Trojan snapped, and Meshach looked over at him.
He slowly got up from his seat and walked over to Trojan.
The whole table went quiet as we all waited to see what was going to happen next.
Shocking us, Meshach leaned over and hugged Trojan.
“You know you love me, nigga, stop fighting it.” Meshach chuckled while Trojan fought to get away from him.
After a few seconds, Trojan sucked his teeth, shook his head, and then hugged Meshach back.
“You aight, nigga. Just don’t give my daughter any little fucking mini yous.”
“We’re not ready for kids yet, but best believe she’s having my babies.” He winked at him.
Trojan groaned but didn’t say anything.
We all laughed because he looked like a little ass girl pouting.
They had a funny relationship, but that was just them.
“I guess we need to get the other guest room ready,” Momma Amanda called out, and Jackson nodded to agree.
They were so cute together and enjoyed being grandparents. It was amazing to see that their love had survived after all these years. To know that they met when Momma Amanda was only eighteen years old was beautiful. Even when he thought she had died, Jackson’s love for her never died.
It had me thinking about the time I thought that I had a love like that in Terrence until Alvaro showed me the truth.
About a year ago, Terrence popped back up out of nowhere. He started messaging me on Facebook talking about he changed and wanted me back.
Yeah, just like he changed before but wasted no time choking me out!
I messaged him back telling him that I would send my man, Wrath, after him, and I never heard from him again. A few months later, I found out that he was in jail for pimping and robbery. I guess he didn’t change as much as he said he had.
That was all good because he was where he belonged, and so was I! And now, my parents were back in my life. They were even planning to move back to New York. We bonded like we were never apart. I had even gotten in contact with the rest of the family.
Life was good, and I had no complaints!
“There you go, feed my baby,” Alvaro said and set a huge plate in front of me.
“Sis, you are not about to eat all that food, are you?” Gia asked, and I laughed.
“Do you not see how big Alvaro’s head is? I already know this baby is gonna be the same.”
Alvaro looked down at me with a mug on his face, causing me to laugh out loud.
“You don’t complain about my other head being big,” he whispered in my ear, and I swear I blushed hard as hell.
I turned to look at my fine man as he winked at me, and I wondered how I had lucked up.
One night, a stranger walked into my life when I was at my lowest. I was running from my past, not knowing I had just run into my future.
My life used to be so low, depressing, and lonely until Alvaro appeared out of nowhere.
All that we faced, I would do it all again because my life changed for the better when I found myself enticed by a thug love!
